About Fortnite

Sprites are collectible companions in Fortnite that float beside the player and provide a passive ability while active, ranging from shield regeneration and extra chest loot to pickaxe buffs and lifesteal. Players obtain them during matches, keep them by extracting, and can later bring an unlocked Sprite back into play using Sprite Dust. [search-60daa216d88e]

What Sprites Are and How the Collection Works

The loop is find, secure, extract, then summon. Sprites appear in Sprite Chests, regular Chests, Rare Chests and Supply Drops, and many have a preferred spawn location. Surviving to extraction adds the Sprite to your collection permanently, after which Sprite Dust lets you bring it back into later matches, with higher rarities and special variants costing more. Equipped Sprites gain levels, and each level strengthens the ability, such as increasing shield regeneration per tick or reducing the damage required to trigger an effect. [search-60daa216d88e]

Special Variants and the Rarest Pulls

A separate community report from FRVR, dated September 22, 2026, names Loot Hacker Klombo as the rarest randomly obtainable Sprite at approximately 0.001% to 0.0011%, a figure it credits to dataminer Hypex and notes has not been officially published by Epic Games. [search-aa7bc173f1a0]

Getting Started and Extracting Safely

Beginners should begin with the three Rare starters, Water, Earth and Fire. They cost only 100 Dust, appear most often, and between them cover survival, looting and aggression. [search-60daa216d88e]

Keeping a Sprite requires extraction, and there are three routes: win a match with the Sprite equipped or in your inventory, use an Extraction Site, or use a Portable Extractor from the Gizmo wheel. The Portable Extractor is the easiest and safest because it works wherever you are, and one can be bought per day from a Sprite Dust Services terminal. [search-7c4002a9f694]

When mastering a Sprite, extract it roughly every level instead of chasing level 5 in a single match, because being eliminated before extraction resets it to level 1. Reaching level 5 and extracting makes the Sprite Mastered, and mastering more Sprites unlocks rewards such as Portable Extractors, Sprite Dust, XP and rare Sprite variants. [search-7c4002a9f694]
